Event Details

Filmmaker Megan Ebor, MSW (UCLA), has worked in the field of aging since the late 90s, serving as a senior advocate, care manager, and Long-Term Care Ombudsman in both Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. Her recent work engages social documentation as a means to highlight the types of issues faced by clients she has encountered throughout her professional career.  This workshop features a screening of her documentary depicting the crisis of HIV/AIDS among adults over the age of 50. The film features men and women speaking candidly about their experiences, sexual history and HIV status and help to uncover the misconceptions about aging, sexuality and HIV/AIDS.

*Event to take place in Hill Hall (360 Martin Luther King Blvd., Newark, NJ), Room 104. One complimentary credit of continuing education will be provided for eligible attendees. For more information, contact Professor Emily Greenfield at egreenf@ssw.rutgers.edu or 732-391-4986.
